Plane Safety

by Daniel on April 3rd, 2012

If you’re traveling by plane, take some simple steps to protect your health.
First, don’t put your medicines in your luggage. Carry them with you at all times. Include a list of your medical conditions and a copy of your cardiogram if you have one.

Try to avoid flying with a severe ear infection.

If the plane rises or drops too quickly, the change in pressure can cause severe pain and even hearing loss. Antihistamines and decongestants may help.

If you experience pain at the last moment, try this: punch a hole in the bottom of two paper cups. Then cup them over your ears. It looks silly, but it equalizes the pressure and makes for a smooth landing!
